Communication design, posters and promotional material for the short film “An Important Job”, created in the framework of the MedBycatch project, written, produced and directed by Panos Karkanevatos. Bycatch is one of the most important threats to biodiversity. Every day, fishers around the Mediterranean make important choices, turning the tide for the future of our seas. “An Important Job” short film aims to shed light on this untold story.

The design solution provided was based on two basic visual directions, colour and typography. The strong typographic approach in which text frames act as building blocks of the compositional balance, alongside the use of a strict, black and white colour palette, creates a visual identity that exudes dynamism, immediacy and vibrancy.
